St. Ambrose drops matches to top-five opponents

St. Ambrose dropped a pair of matches to top-five opponents at a Tri-Match hosted by Saint Xavier Saturday. The Bees fell to No. 2 Saint Xavier 25-16, 25-18, 25-22 before losing to #4 Lawrence Tech 25-10, 25-18, 26-24.

Bees go five to pick up Senior Night victory

For the third time in four matches, St. Ambrose was extended to a decisive fifth set. But Thursday night, the Bees came up with big plays down the stretch to pull out a victory. SAU defeated Calumet 26-28, 25-16, 26-24, 21-25, 15-12 in an important CCAC matchup on Senior Night.

Leading two sets to none. Up 14-12 in the fifth. Holding a total of four match points. St. Ambrose wasn't able to capitalize on any of it in a 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 19-17 loss to Judson Tuesday night at Lee Lohman Arena.

SAU dominates fifth set to take down Olivet Nazarene

A five-point run midway through the fifth set proved to be the difference as St. Ambrose took down Olivet Nazarene 21-25, 25-22, 27-25, 21-25, 15-8 Friday night in Lee Lohman Arena.

Bees drop close sets to the Crimson Wave

March 07, 2025

St. Ambrose was unable to pull away for the victory yesterday evening in the 3-2 loss in Whiting, Ind. against the Crimson Wave of Calumet. The Bees dropped sets two, three, and five by narrow margins in the loss. This drops the SAU to 10-9 overall and 3-1 in CCAC play.

SAU continues conference win streak

St. Ambrose rolled over Judson yesterday evening in a 3-1 conference win over the Eagles in Linder Fitness Center. After last night's effort, St. Ambrose has now won three conference matches in a row to be 3-0 in CCAC conference play.

Bos named CCAC Attacker of the Week

CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Michael Bos (Chicago, Ill.) claimed his first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week awards of the season when the league office made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

St. Ambrose cannot overcome Governors State

The Bees forced extra points in the third set, but it was still not enough as St. Ambrose suffered a 3-0 loss to the Jaguars of Governors State yesterday afternoon at the GSU Athletics Center. SAU dropped the matches 16-25, 15-25, and 24-26 to move to 9-8 on the season.

Bees handle Trinity Christian for second conference win

February 27, 2025

St. Ambrose proved to be the better side in the 3-1 conference win over Trinity Christian yesterday evening in Lee Lohman Arena. SAU built large leads in the opening two sets 25-13 and 25-18 before they dropped the third set in extra points 24-26. The Bees rallied back in the fourth set with a 25-18 victory. This win moves St. Ambrose to 9-7 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Bos, Dixon, and Zang help Bees open conference play 1-0

Pedro Zang, Michael Bos, and Kam Dixon all hit for double-digit kill numbers to propel the Bees to a 3-2 victory over the V-Hawks of Viterbo University yesterday evening in Lee Lohman Arena. SAU is now 1-0 in conference play and 8-7 in regular season matches.

SAU drops match with St. Mary-Woods and defeats Culver-Stockton in C-SC Tri-Match

St. Ambrose split the day at Culver-Stockton's Tri-Match in Canton, Mo. The Bees dropped their first match to St. Mary-Woods (0-3) and defeated Culver-Stockton (3-2) for the third time this season. These results move the Bees to 7-6 overall.
