In 1979, the St. Ambrose University Athletic Hall of Fame was developed to recognize the accomplishments of players and coaches who participated in intercollegiate athletics at St. Ambrose.

The first teams were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. Teams were also added in 2010 and 2013. We are proud to recognize these groups not only for their athletic successes, but also for their contribution to the "Tradition" that has become St. Ambrose Athletics.

A board comprised of alumni and former athletes select honorees from nominations.

Nomination form

Nominations for the St. Ambrose University Athletic Hall of Fame can be made at any time. 

Conditions for induction include:

• Candidate must have received a varsity letter and completed his/her degree requirements at St. Ambrose University or is a previous athletic coach and/or staff member at St. Ambrose University
• A candidate is not eligible for a period of 10 years following the completion of his/her athletic career at St. Ambrose University (this does not apply to an athletic coach and/or athletic staff member)
• The award may be received posthumously

The St. Ambrose University Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor St. Ambrose letter-winners, athletic coaches and athletic staff members who have made outstanding performances and achievements in athletics.
