Spriggs named CCAC Defensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO --- Indiana University Northwest's Trace Williams (Flossmoor, Ill.) secured his third Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award and St. Ambrose University's Will Spriggs (Jacksonville, Fla.) his second when the league office announced its final regular-season weekly honorees on Tuesday morning.

Hungry for postseason play, Bees gobble up final CCAC Tourney bid

With their season on the line, the Bees got the win they needed, and a little help, on Senior Day. St. Ambrose used a 78-72 come-from-behind victory over Trinity Christian paired with an Indiana Northwest 90-77 win over Viterbo to earn the eighth and final spot in the upcoming CCAC Tournament.

Big night from Spriggs not enough as Bees fall to Cougars

Will Spriggs scored a career-high 35 points but missed a chance to tie in the closing seconds as St. Ambrose fell to Saint Xavier 103-101 Wednesday night in Lee Lohman Arena.

The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the winter sports All-Academic Teams earlier today. A total of 15 Bees were named to the All-Academic Teams this winter (9 men's basketball and 6 women's basketball). The St. Ambrose and St. Francis men's basketball teams led the CCAC in the number of All-Academic student-athletes with nine student-athletes. On the women's side, Abby Wolter held a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2025 Daktroncis NAIA Scholar-Athletes awards earlier today. Of the winter student-athletes at St. Ambrose, 66 (3 men's basketball, 4 women's basketball, 6 competitive cheer, 11 competitive dance, 25 men's swimming and diving, 12 women's swimming and diving, and 5 men's wrestling) were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Bees can't keep pace with RedHawks in second half

It was a first half to remember and a second half to forget for St. Ambrose. The Bees shot nearly 58 percent from the floor in the first half but hit just 36 percent in the second half of a 92-73 loss at Indiana Northwest Saturday.
