
Spriggs, Agot earn all-CCAC recognition
Will Spriggs was named second team all-conference and Atem Agot earned honorable mention as the CCAC announced its men's basketball postseason awards.
Spriggs led St. Ambrose in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per contest. During the season, the fifth-year senior from Jacksonville, Fla., surpassed 1500 career points, becoming just the 15th Bee in program history to hit the milestone. Spriggs scored in double figures 23 times, including the final 16 games of the season. In 20 conference games, he averaged 16.5 points.
The 5-11 guard shot nearly 47 percent from the floor and 82 percent from the line. He also knocked down 33 3-pointers, the second most on the team.
Spriggs led the team in steals (58) and was second on the club in assists (71). He also blocked 13 shots.
It was the second straight season he earned second team all-conference honors.
Agot did a little bit of everything for the Bees. The 6-6 senior forward from East Moline, Ill., averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He shot nearly 59 percent from the field. Agot also recorded 24 blocks and 21 steals this season.
Spriggs and Agot helped St. Ambrose earn a CCAC Tournament bid for the second consecutive year.
