SAU gears up for NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The official qualifiers for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships were announced early Friday. The NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Indiana Wesleyan will take place in Marion, Ind. May 22-24.

The St. Ambrose men and women both took second at the CCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Joliet, Ill., Friday and Saturday.
Track & Field competed in a plethora of outdoor events in a two-day span

In a 48-hour time span, both men’s and women’s Track & Field teams competed at three different venues. Friday. April 26, the distance runners competed in the Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College. The Kip Janvrin Open saw 48 team compete, including St. Ambrose. While the distance runners were in Indianola, Iowa, the other Bees competed at the Grand View Viking Classic in Des Moines, Iowa. Saturday, April 27, SAU competed at the prestigious Drake Relays.
Woods named CCAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

CHICAGO --- A pair of Paytons have captured the latest round of Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's outdoor track & field weekly accolades, the league office announced on Wednesday. Securing the honor for Olivet Nazarene University was Payton Domagalski (Columbus, Ohio), while Payton Woods (Rock Island, Ill.) did so for St. Ambrose University.
SAU takes part in Augustana's Meet of Champions

This past weekend the Bees competed in the Meet of Champions at Augustana College. The Men's team placed seventh (out of 25) with 56 points and the women were fifth (out of 22) with 62 points.
SAU competes in Jim Duncan Invite and Mustang Open

The Bees competed in the Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and in the Mustang Distance Carnival at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, over the weekend.
Miller and Reemtsma named CCAC Athletes of the Week

CHICAGO --- Recording some of the best marks in the NAIA this spring, St. Ambrose University's Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) and Will Reemtsma (Davenport, Iowa) have been named as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete and Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, respectively, for the seven-day period ending April 7, the league office announced Thursday.

Coming from much success in the CCAC Indoor Championships, the Fighting Bees track and field teams head to Brookings, S.D. to compete at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships. These athletes will compete at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex from Feb 29 – Mar. 2.

15 Bees will be traveling to Brookings, S.D. Feb 29-Mar. 2 to compete in the NAIA Indoor Championships. This meet will be hosted at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Men second, women third at CCAC Indoor Championships

The Bees competed in the CCAC Indoor Championship this past weekend in Bourbonnais, Ill. The Men took home second place (out of eight) with 230 points. The Women were third (out of eight) with 141.5 points.
