SAU gears up for NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Qualifiers

NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Qualifiers

The official qualifiers for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships were announced early Friday. The NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Indiana Wesleyan will take place in Marion, Ind. May 22-24.

From St. Ambrose, both the men's and women's team will represent the university. 

On the women's side, Gabbi Butler and Annah Miller will represent the Fighting Bees. Butler qualified for the women's 200 m 400 m runs while Miller qualified for the women's shot put and discus. 

A total of eleven Bees qualified on the men's team. Tommy Ashby, Nathan Boleyn, Trae Corby, Dylan Grandon, Chris Miserendino, Joshua Mottet, Will Reemtsma, Alec Seifert, Ben Wilson, Jonah Wilson, and Payton Woods will compete for SAU. Ashby, Boleyn, Corby, Grandon, Miserendino, Reemtsma, and B. Wilson will all run the men's 4 x 800 m relay. Mottet will compete in the men's pole vault and men's 4 x 800 m relay. Reemtsma will look to continue his dominance in the men's 400 m hurdles. Seifert and J. Wilson qualified for the men's shot put. B. Wilson qualified for the men's 400 m hurdles. J. Wilson will throw the discus while Woods qualified in the men's hammer to round out the group for St. Ambrose.
