CHICAGO ----Authoring three sub-80 rounds during the seven-day period ending April 6 has earned St. Ambrose University's Colin Riggs (Ankeny, Iowa) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week accolades, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.

St. Ambrose saw its seven-game winning streak snapped as its home struggles continued. The Bees dropped to 1-5 in home games in Clinton, Iowa, after dropping a doubleheader to St. Francis by scores of 7-4 and 9-2 Tuesday afternoon.

Saturday afternoon in Davenport, Iowa, the Bees battled Mount Mercy University. The Bees came off two conference losses prior, and looked to bounce back in this conference matchup. Despite the Bees' dominant play in the first half, they allowed the Mustangs to aim a comeback in the fourth, but it was too late as SAU solidified its 15-7 win.

Pitching powers Bees past Titans

After tossing shutouts last time out, Brad Niedzwiedz and Joe Turek were nearly as dominant Thursday. The duo pitched St. Ambrose to 5-2 and 4-1 wins at Indiana South Bend in the first two of a four-game set. The victories extended SAU's winning streak to five games.

Wednesday night, the Bees traveled to Dubuque, Iowa, to take on Clarke University. St. Ambrose, coming off a dominant conference win in Kansas, looked to keep things rolling and succeeded, beating Clarke in a commanding 20-4 win.

The Bees had a stellar trip to Elgin, Ill. To take on the Judson Eagles. Amassing 23 hits and 15 RBIs as a team, St. Ambrose defeated Judson with final scores of 7-6 and 9-0 (five innings).
