Bees split conference doubleheader with St. Francis

The Bees went 2-6 in game one and 9-1 in five innings in game two. St. Ambrose bats bounced back in game two with six hits scattered amongst four batters. Becca Haag (2 R, 2 H, 3 RBI) led off the top of the second inning with a walk and quickly made her way around the bases when a hit from Justice Krus (1 R) forced a throwing error on the Fighting Saints. Later that inning, Mady Reed (1 H, 3 RBI) drove a double down the left field line, bringing home three Bees runners. St. Ambrose earned two runs in the top of the third inning when Ellie Downing (2 R, 1 H) walked, and Haag brought them home with a home run over the left field wall. In a similar fashion, Downing led off the fifth inning with a double and rounded the bases on a Haag single. Brynnlin Kroymann (2 R, 2 H, 2 RBI) earned a two-run homerun of her own to finish off the scoring in game two.

Ada Boysen pitched 5 innings.

In game one, the Bees did not go down without a fight. In the fifth inning, Kylie Schult (1 R, 1 H, 1 RBI) drove a one-run home run over the left field fence to start the scoring. Next at-bat Mya Millsaps (1 R) was hit by a pitch and later scored when Reed's hit caused a fielding error. Unfortunately, it was not enough for the Bees to push past the Fighting Saints.

The pitcher in game one was Leah Maro.
