The St. Ambrose bats were silenced Sunday by Grand View as the Vikings swept a doubleheader from the Bees by scores of 9-0 and 11-0 in Norwalk, Iowa.
The Bees scratched out just four hits in the opener that went five innings. Ellie Downing tripled and Justice Krus, Brynnlin Kroymann and Mady Reed had singles.
Grand View (11-9) took control early with a three-run first inning. The Vikings broke things open by scoring five times in the third and added a final run in the fourth.
Leah Maro was charged with the loss. She went three innings before Bianca Shorter recorded three outs.
SAU (8-4) had just one hit in the second five-inning loss.
GVU grabbed a 2-0 lead in the second inning before exploding for nine runs in the third inning.
Allyson Harrold took the loss.
The Bees will play a doubleheader at Culver-Stockton Wednesday.
