The offense of SAU stalls in loss

The offense of St. Ambrose stalled this afternoon as Holy Cross scored in each period to put away the Bees in Notre Dame, Ind.. SAU could not stop the efficient scoring of HCC as they tabbed three goals on nine shots. In their effort, St. Ambrose had registered only one shot in the loss.

Holy Cross was quick to get their offense going as they scored on only the second shot of the game. The Saints looked to build off their momentum and St. Ambrose could not seem to rally back after the early goal.

This lead to another Saints' goal in the 26th minute of action.

SAU remained strong the rest of the half as they needed the break to regroup.

Shortly after the break, SAU knocked the ball off a Saint's defender to earn a corner kick. But, no scoring chances were created.

HCC took advantage of this opportunity to score what would be the eventual final goal of the match.

St. Ambrose continued to search for a goal as Ricardo Ronconi fired off a shot but the Saints' goal keeper would save the day.

Not many threatening chances would come for either team to lead into a Bees' loss.

SAU created two corner kicks in the match while Ronconi had the only shot for the Bees.

Kai Domagala played all 90 minutes in net to finish with a save.

Next weekend, the Bees look to rebound as they host (RV) Trinity Christian for Homecoming Weekend. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. at St. Vincent's Athletic Complex.
