Eleven Bees named as Daktronics NAIA Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes

2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes

League officials from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women's Track and Field Scholar-Athletes earlier today. St. Ambrose placed 11 among the honorees. 

Representing St. Ambrose were Ali Cain, Allison Hein, Anna Pierce, Annah Miller, Gabbi Butler, Jayne Eilderts, Kate Surwillo, Megan Becker, Michaela Pieroni, Olivia Sobieszczyk, and Ryleigh Warden

The 2024 list features 1203 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.

Next, the Bees will travel to Marion, Ind. to compete in the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championships are set to start May 22.
