St. Ambrose places 17 on All-Academic Team

CCAC Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team

St. Ambrose had 17 student-athletes named to the CCAC Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team as announced by the league office Tuesday.

Representing St. Ambrose are Alexis Andersen, Megan Becker, Gabbi Butler, Ali Cain, Paige Crippes, Jayne Eilderts, Loryn Heil, Allison Hein, Annah Miller, Anna PierceMichaela Pieroni, Adeline Smith, Olivia Sobieszczyk, Kate Surwillo, Alexis Tomlin, Ashlyn Utterback and Ryleigh Warden.

Warden was one of five student-athletes in the conference with a 4.0 grade point average while Pieroni was named to the team for a fourth-straight year. Miller and Pierce have been selected to the team three times apiece, while Butler, Eilderts and Sobieszczyk were each on the team for a second time.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
