SAU recognizes seniors in winning home finale

St. Ambrose recognized its seniors during the final home competition of the year Friday night at the Davenport Central Natatorium. The Bees also claimed victory on Senior Night as the women defeated Augustana 136-110 and the men defeated both Augustana (166-85) and Coe (190-26).

SAU honored Leyre Antonanzas, Emily Henson, Madeline Piper, Sarah Priewe, Rylie Steinkamp and Amber Warak on the women's side, and Abe Alwan, Juan Gomez, Mikhi Hassim, Brett Jones, Carson Maxwell, Bram Mess, Egoitz Munoz, Ben Patterson, Khalil Ruiz, Blake Tyler and Nikolai Valencia for the men.

The Bees will now head to the postseason, beginning with the Liberal Arts Conference Championships in Racine, Wis., Feb. 12-15. The NAIA Championships in Elkhart, Ind., will take place Mar. 5-8.
