
Fall season ends at Saints Classic
St. Ambrose concluded the fall portion of its season at the challenging Saints Classic, played at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind., Monday and Tuesday.
Addy Heineke led the Bees. She had rounds of 95 and 92 for a 187 to end in a tie for 33rd place.
The rest of the team was on Heineke's heels.
Aleanna Mendoza was the most consistent Bee. She shot a 94 and a 95 for a 189. Gabrielle Langlois was just a shot back, shooting a 190 with a 90 and 100. Anna Hurning (97-94) finished with a 191 and Caitlin McDonagh (102-98) came in with a 200.
Playing as an individual, Tavia Dowell (100-102) carded a 202.
St. Ambrose put together rounds of 376 and 379 to finish eighth in the 10-team tournament with a 755.
Taylor, led by medalist Margarita Garrido's 9-over 151 (74-77), won the team title with a 622 (309-313).
