Kylie Wroblewski scored 16 points, Jamie Martens and Anna Plumer each finished with 14, and Madeline Prestegaard added 11 as St. Ambrose defeated Cardinal Stritch 74-52 in Milwaukee, Wis., Wednesday night.

St. Ambrose made its move in the second quarter thanks to its 3-point shooting. Trailing 18-14 less than three minutes into the period, the Bees went on a 20-2 run to close the half. Nearly all of that work was done from beyond the arc.

Martens started the run with a personal 9-0 spurt thanks to three 3-pointers. Wroblewski then knocked down a three before Plumer hit two in a row from beyond the arc. Gabrielle Koelker completed the run with a pair of free throws inside the final minute to give SAU a 34-18 lead at the break.

The Bees connected on 6-of-8 3-pointers in the second quarter in finishing 11-of-18 for the game. They also limited the Wolves to just 3-of-14 shooting in the frame.

Prestegaard opened the second half with a layup and midway through the third, a Wroblewski layup opened up a 20-point lead.

Cardinal Stritch (9-13, 7-9 CCAC) never got closer than 16 points in the final quarter.

Martens and Plumer each finished with four triples. Wroblewski connected on two and Charlotte Flynn hit another in supporting the four in double figures with five points of her own.
