Pembrook named to all-CCAC Tournament Team
Christina Pembrook capped her first team all-conference season by being named to the CCAC All-Tournament Team today.
As she has all season, the junior did it at the plate and in the circle for the Bees in the postseason tournament. Over the two games, Pembrook went 2-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored. She also allowed just one earned run over 12 innings pitched.
The starting pitcher in the Bees' tourney opener, Pembrook gave up two runs, only one earned, over seven innings. She struck out four.
Later Thursday, she entered in relief and tossed five scoreless innings while also going 2-for-2 at the plate.
SAU dropped its first two tournament games to finish the year 27-20 overall.
