St. Ambrose wrestles at Missouri Valley Open
Five different Bees won at least one match as St. Ambrose competed in the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Mo., Saturday.
Four Bees won multiple matches.
Guiseppe Guerra led the way for SAU. The 141-pounder won his first two matches in dominant fashion. He needed just 24 seconds to pin his first-round opponent, then Guerra earned a 13-6 decision. His tournament ended there, however, as a medical forfeit forced him out of his quarterfinal bout.
Dylan Meiners also picked up a pair of big wins. He cruised to a 17-2 tech fall victory in his first-round match and later pinned his opponent in 3:24 in the consolation side of the 197-pound bracket. Keandre Miles pinned two opponents in his run in the heavyweight draw. The two victories totaled less than a minute of action as he won in 20 seconds and then 33 seconds. Tate O'Shea also had two wins via pinfall at 149 pounds. He used 4:51 and 5:00 for his two victories.
Riley Woods had one win for St. Ambrose. He pinned his opponent in 2:19 at 149 pounds.
Reese Finch (149 pounds), Jaxson Holec (157 pounds), Dio Ballas (165 pounds), Ray Hughes (heavyweight), Hector Izaguirre (heavyweight), Jeremiah Morris (heavyweight) and Abdullah Razzak (heavyweight) also competed for St. Ambrose.
