Snyder named CCAC Setter of the Week

CHICAGO --- Judson University's Noah McConville (Stewartstown, Pa.) continued his season-long dominance as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Defender of the Week, while Saint Xavier University's Shane Ooms (Shorewood, Ill.) and St. Ambrose University's Jake Snyder (Mokena, Ill.) were recognized as the league's top attacker and setter of the week, respectively, for the first time, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Snyder gained his first honor of the year as the CCAC Setter of the Week. The senior averaged 10.75 assists over a pair of matches beginning with his 43 in a four-set decision over Lincoln College last Tuesday. On Saturday, he collected another 39 assists in a five-set loss to Mount Mercy University (Iowa).

Snyder's other numbers over the two matches included nine kills, three aces, and 13 digs in the nine sets that he played. St. Ambrose is 2-8 on the campaign.
