Clark and Bageanis named second team all-CCAC

All-CCAC Men's Volleyball Team

Two familiar faces were recognized by the conference as Jaylen Clark and Jason Bageanis were named to the all-CCAC men's volleyball team. Each Bee was named to the second team.

It was a repeat honor for both.

Clark, the CCAC Freshman of the Year in 2018, earned first team all-conference honors in both 2018 and 2019 while Bageanis was named to the second team last year.

Clark, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., was second on the team with 214 kills in 2021, an average of 2.7 kills per set. He finished with a .220 hitting percentage. He put down 743 kills in his four-year Bee career, placing him 13th on the school's all-time list.

He also registered 100 digs and 50 blocks this spring. He is among the program leaders for career solo blocks (fifth with 64), block assists (16th with 143) and total blocks (14th with 207).

Bageanis was right behind Clark with 209 kills this season. He had the top hitting percentage on the team, finishing with a .337 mark.

The junior from Riverside, Ill., also contributed defensively, posting 92 total blocks, the second-highest total on the team.

The pair helped St. Ambrose finish 14-14 overall and 7-5 in the CCAC. The Bees advanced to the CCAC Tournament championship match before falling to No. 10 Saint Xavier.
