Fox repeats as CCAC Defensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO --- A trio of familiar names are back in the news on the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's volleyball front after the league office announced its weekly award winners for the seven-day period ending March 28. Saint Xavier's Aaron Kummer (Chicago, Ill.) was named the Setter of the Week for the sixth time this season, while Trinity Christian College's Alex Costa (Oak Lawn, Ill.) and St. Ambrose University's Nick Fox (Elmwood Park, Ill.) gained Attacker and Defender of the Week accord, respectively, for the second time.

Fox garnered the defensive honors for the second week in a row. Over his two matches played last week, he averaged just under two blocks per set finishing at 1.9.

The 6-5 junior middle hitter collected eight blocks (one solo, seven assist) against Viterbo University on Thursday and five assist blocks versus Roosevelt University on Saturday. Both matches were four-set wins for the Fighting Bees, who are 12-13 on the campaign.
