Clark and Snyder named CCAC Players of the Week

CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Jake Snyder (Mokena, Ill.) claimed his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week award, while teammate Jaylen Clark (Las Vegas, Nev.) collected his first CCAC Attacker of the Week honor and Saint Xavier University's Shane Ooms (Minooka, Ill.) did the same as the CCAC Defender of the Week. The league office made the announcement on Tuesday.

Snyder averaged just under ten assists per set finishing at 9.89 in a pair of split decisions for the week. His top mark for the week was his 46 assists in a four-set win over Viterbo University on Tuesday. The junior added a double-double of 43 assists and 13 digs in a five-set loss to William Penn University (Iowa) on Saturday.

Clark appeared in three matches for the Fighting Bees on the week, averaging 3.9 kills and 1.73 digs per set, while also claiming four service aces and nine blocks (two solo, seven assist). He just missed out on a pair of double-doubles with his 17 kills and eight digs in the win over Viterbo and 18 kills and nine digs versus William Penn.

St. Ambrose went 2-1 on the week and is now 5-10 on the season.
