KCAC Release

First-year head coach Jon Paul was named the 2022 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Coach of the Year after leading the Fighting Bees to an undefeated regular-season conference title, a first in program history.

Paul had been an assistant with St. Ambrose since 2018 before being chosen to lead SAU in the summer of 2021.

The Bees had ten players earn all-conference honors in the KCAC with Nolan Hayes earning Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, while Michael Shakerin was the Offensive Player of the Year.

St. Ambrose started the 2022 season ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Preseason Poll, before jumping up to No. 3 in the first and second polls. They claimed the top spot in the poll on March 23rd, which is the highest ranking in program history. SAU has earned five NAIA Top 10 wins this season, defeating No. 8 William Penn, No. 10 Columbia, No. 9 Concordia (Mich.), No. 6 Aquinas, and No. 8 Benedictine.

The Bees have set single-season records in goals per game, goals-against per game, and caused turnovers.
