Shakerin named NAIA National Player of the Week
After earning back-to-back Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Offensive Player of the Week honors, Michael Shakerin was named the NAIA National Player of the Week. Shakerin scored 7 goals and added 7 assists in three games for the No. 1 ranked Fighting Bees.
He had four assists against No. 6 Aquinas College to go along with a goal, scored twice and dished out three assists against No. 8 Benedictine, and netted four goals against RV Ottawa. Shakerin leads SAU in goals, assists, and points helping St. Ambrose to an undefeated record so far this season. He also ranks in the Top 10 of the NAIA in goals, assists, points, man-up goals, shots, and shots-on-goal.
