Shakerin, Hayes win KCAC Player of the Week honors

Michael Shakerin and Nolan Hayes were named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Players of the Week the league announced on Monday. The players earned honors for their performances from March 14-20.

Shakerin earned offensive honors by netting three goals and adding four assists in a ranked win over No. 9 Concordia. He followed that performance with a four-goal two-assists game against conference opponent Missouri Baptist. Shakerin is currently tied for 3rd in the NAIA in assists, tied for 4th in the NAIA in points, and ranks 8th in the NAIA in goals. 

Hayes made a total of 19 saves over SAU's two games on the week, including 16 against No. 9 Concordia to earn defensive player of the week. Hayes leads the NAIA in save percentage at 69%, has 87 saves putting him 4th in the NAIA, and is 5th in goals-against average.
