Hayes, Shakerin earn KCAC Player of the Week honors

WICHITA, Kan. — Michael Shakerin (SO/Lake Oswego, Ore.) and Nolan Hayes (SO/Grayson, Ga.) of St. Ambrose (Iowa) have earned the KCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 29-April 4 by a vote of conference sports information directors.

On Thursday, Shakerin helped the Bees to a win over top-10 Ottawa with four goals. In their comeback victory over Benedictine on Saturday, Shakerin again tallied four goals and added three assists en route to the 14-11 win.

Tallying 22 total saves over the week, Hayes helped the Bees to two victories over top NAIA opponents in Ottawa (9) and Benedictine (RV).

St. Ambrose is currently ranked 5th and has a 8-2 overall record.
