Bees picked third in 2021 KCAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll

St. Ambrose finished third in the 2021 KCAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll the conference announced on Tuesday. The Bees garned one first-place vote. Columbia College finished in the top spot of the poll with six of the nine first-place votes. Benedictine College (No. 2) and Ottawa University (No. 4) received the other first-place votes.

SAU got off to a 5-1 start in the 2019-2020 season including wins over ranked foes Siena Heights and Madonna before COVID-19 ended the season. The Bees return much of their offensive firepower including season team leader in goals and assists Michael Shakerin. Cole Danner and Michael Keating also return. Both scored 10 goals last season. Faceoff specialist Hunter Northway will also be back. Nolan Hayes, Andrew Lis, and Johnny Moran also return as potential goalies for St. Ambrose.

The Bees are scheduled to begin their season at the NAIA Invitational in Westfield, Ind. against Lawrence Tech on February 18th at 2 p.m.
