Riggs named CCAC Golfer of the Week
CHICAGO ----Authoring three sub-80 rounds during the seven-day period ending April 6 has earned St. Ambrose University's Colin Riggs (Ankeny, Iowa) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week accolades, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.
At the two-day Western Illinois University Intercollegiate, the graduate student totaled a 227 over his three rounds to finish in a tie for 18th place out of 64 golfers.
Riggs opened with a 72 on the par-71 course on Friday before registering rounds of 76 later that afternoon and 79 to close out play on Saturday.
As a team, St. Ambrose place eighth out of nine squads.
