Spurgetis named CCAC Golfer of the Week
CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Eric Spurgetis (Moline, Ill.) became the second Fighting Bee in as many weeks to claim Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honors when it was announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Teammate Mick Haverland gained the distinction one week earlier.
Spurgetis shot a two-under-par 69 at the Wartburg College Spring Invitational on Friday. That placed the senior in a tie for third place at the meet among a field of 88 golfers.
As a team, St. Ambrose finished eighth among 15 squads competing.
