Kerr named CCAC Player of the Week

CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University sophomore forward John Kerr (Lake Villa, Ill.) has claimed his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award for his three performances during the seven-day period ending Feb. 10, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Kerr averaged 23.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game to land the honors. He also shot an impressive .711 from the field (27-of-38), .571 from three-point range (4-of-7) and .857 from the foul line (12-of-14) during the Bees' 2-1 week.

Kerr's biggest game came on Saturday when he matched his career high in scoring with 27 points to go along with a game-high 11 rebounds in a 66-61 win over Cardinal Stritch University. He also registered 26 points and eight rebounds in a 71-52 victory against Roosevelt last Monday. In between, he recorded 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a 68-66 setback to Governors State University on Wednesday.

St. Ambrose is 16-11 on the season with a league mark of 11-7.
