Hawkins named MSFA Offensive Player of the Week

Isaiah Hawkins rushed for 174 yards and two long touchdowns in his collegiate debut, and in so doing, was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week.

Hawkins carried the ball 14 times for his 174 yards as part of the Bees' 372 total yards on the ground in a 49-27 win at No. 25 Dakota State Saturday.

The sophomore from Carol Stream, Ill., also caught a pair of passes for 22 yards.

As a team, St. Ambrose finished with 607 yards of total offense.

The Bees will next visit Lindenwood-Belleville Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
