
Fulcher, Honeycutt honored at AMC Championships
Chloe Fulcher and Mikal Honeycutt combined to win every individual award at the AMC Championships in Columbia, Mo., Saturday.
The two helped lead the SAU Cheer Team to the AMC's inaugural conference championship. They then combined for four individual awards.
Fulcher was named the AMC Competitive Cheer Performer of the Year, Tumbler of the Year and Freshman of the Year. Honeycutt was crowned the AMC Newcomer of the Year.
Fulcher also earned first team all-conference recognition. She was joined on the six-member first team by teammates Haley Scholbrock, JP Elder, Taye Owten, Rachel Ruplinger and RJ Woods. Honeycutt was joined on the all-AMC second team by Alyssa Oczko, Patrick Nauman, Savanah Metzger, Savannah Schumacher and Sydnee Horstman.
Oczko, Ava Arnold, Layla Taylor and Ryan Russo were named second team Stunt all-conference.
Ruplinger was selected as the team's AMC Champion of Character.
St. Ambrose also had a conference-high 15 competitors named to the academic all-AMC team - Oczko, Devyn George, Graysen Gerlinger, Scholbrock, Elder, Honeycutt, Nauman, Ruplinger, Reese Puleo, Regan Tucker, Woods, Russo, Schumacher, Horstman and Metzger.
