Dudek and Huckabone named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Team

Michael Dudek and Cooper Huckabone were named to the 2022 Academic All-District Baseball Team as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.

Dudek and Huckabone represent District 3, which includes NAIA colleges from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The two Bees now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in June.

Dudek, a junior from Burbank, Ill., was one of four pitchers named to the academic all-district team. The right-hander was a perfect 9-0 this season with a 3.68 ERA. He struck out 66 over 66 innings. Dudek is majoring in Management at St. Ambrose.

Huckabone, a senior first baseman from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, was one of five infielders named to the squad. He batted .316 (48-for-152) with 10 doubles, one triple and 11 home runs. He drove in 46. Huckabone is majoring in Exercise Science.
