Bees take down Trinity Christian 3–1 at home

The St. Ambrose women's soccer team picked up a 3–1 win over Trinity Christian College on Tuesday evening. The Bees outshot the Trolls 18-5 in their win at home.

The Bees wasted little time getting on the board as Sophia Roszkowski dribbled through the defense to place a shot over the goalie's head in the 9th minute to put the Bees up 1–0. Jenna Horst extended the lead in the 31st minute, finishing a feed from Mia Hefner to give St. Ambrose a 2–0 advantage.

Trinity Christian answered late in the first half, cutting the deficit to 2–1. The Bees' defense held strong the rest of the way, allowing just two second-half shots.

In the 72nd minute, Charlise Martel sealed the victory with a composed finish off a cross from McKenna Shilevinatz, securing the 3–1 final.

Horst led the Bees in shots with six. Roszkowski and Martel both added three shots, while Veronica Gordon and McKenna Shilevinatz trailed with two. Mia Hefner and Chloe Travis each tallied one shot.

Jonna Tucker earned the win with one save in the 90-minute match.

Next up, the Bees will travel to Elgin, Illinois, on Saturday, October 25th, to take on the Judson Eagles for their last conference game of the regular season at 12:00 p.m.
