St. Ambrose picked up several top-10 finishes at the Meet of Champions, hosted by Augustana in Rock Island, Ill., Thursday and Friday.

The highlight was Ben Wilson's runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles. His time of 53.17 hit the NAIA B standard and is the 12th-best time in the NAIA this season.

Brandt Williams also had a second-place effort, taking second in the javelin with a throw of 53.18m. Teammate Blake Bohon was sixth with a mark of 47.31m.

Chris Miserendino posted a pair of top-seven marks. He was third in the 800m in 1:54.74 and took seventh in the 1500m in 3:58.98.

Charles Huesmann was 5th in the 400m in 49.39, Joshua Mottet was sixth in the pole vault with a jump of 4.27m and Joe Reinhart was ninth in the hammer with a throw of 53.48m.

On the women's side, Michaela Pieroni placed third in the 5000m. Her time was 20:20.17.

Ryleigh Warden (36.94m) and Annaliese Bowser (33.68m) took fourth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin. Kate Surwillo added a ninth-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.30m.

The Bees will compete in both the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open in Des Moines, Iowa, next week.
