Smith earns second CCAC Runner of the Week award
CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Adeline Smith (Morton, Ill.) has earned her second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award in three weeks, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Smith gained the distinction for the week of Sept. 19-25 after placing 13th among 83 runners at the Grand View University (Iowa) Viking Invitational on Saturday. The freshman covered the 5K course in 20:27.
She previously claimed the honor for the seven-day period ending Sept. 11.
As a team, St. Ambrose finished eighth among 11 schools.
