Senior Mackenzie Grafton earned recognition for her efforts in the classroom and on the court when she was named to the NAIA Women's Volleyball Academic All-America Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Grafton was one of just 14 student-athletes named to the team. She earned second team recognition.

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50 cumulative grade point averages.

Grafton, an outside hitter from Orion, Ill., earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors after being named the Player of the Year by both the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and in the Mideast Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). She finished the season with a conference-leading 522 kills while adding 363 digs, 39 total blocks and 38 aces. She surpassed the 1000-kill milestone, finishing the season with 1,087 in her Bee career. She helped SAU win the CCAC Tournament and advance to the NAIA National Tournament.

Off the court, Grafton carries a 3.83 GPA while majoring in Marketing at St. Ambrose.
