SAU closes regular season with dominant win

Two nights after one of their most dominating wins of the year, the Bees may have even better in a 25-12, 25-18, 25-11 win at Roosevelt Thursday.

St. Ambrose finished with 43 kills and just 11 errors, good for a .352 hitting percentage, the team's second-best mark of the year.

Fifteen different Bees played and 11 of them recorded at least one kill. Mackenzie Grafton led the way with 13 kills, nearly matching Roosevelt's team total of 14.

Jill Kavalauskas added 10 kills and Rachael Dion finished with four. Meredith Siebers put down three kills and six Bees - Meredith UmlandEmily PobanzAmber TomlinPayton WendtHannah Sondag and Jessie Hemm - had two apiece. Isabelle Todd also collected a kill.

Tomlin was also credited with 25 assists while Sondag had eight.

Maicee Pierce picked up a match-best 12 digs. Siebers had seven and Skyler Kuntzman recorded five.

Tomlin and Lexi Huntley each registered two of SAU's eight service aces in the win.

St. Ambrose will carry a four-match winning streak into the CCAC Tournament, which begins with quarterfinal-round action next Tuesday.
