St. Ambrose won two of its three weekend matches at the Park Invitational in Parkville, Mo.

The Bees rallied to defeat Georgetown (Ky.) 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24 Friday before closing the event with a 25-17, 25-20, 25-17 win over the University of St. Mary Saturday. The team's lone loss came at the hands of No. 4 Park 25-14, 25-19, 25-22 earlier Saturday.

Despite winning the second and third sets, SAU appeared poised to be headed to a decisive fifth set as Georgetown grabbed a 23-20 lead late in the fourth. Payton Wendt and Siebers had back-to-back kills before an Amber Tomlin ace knotted the set at 23-23. After the teams traded points, Siebers put down her 13th kill of the match to give the Bees a match point, and a Tiger hitting error handed St. Ambrose the win.
