Bio

Shannon Reschke has been the hurdle coach for the Fighting Bees since the 2010-11 school year.

During that time her athletes have broken all of the hurdle school records for both men and women, and find themselves consistently at the top of the CCAC and the NAIA.

In 2023, Reschke coached Will Reemtsma to his second straight NAIA National Title in the 400m hurdles. He won the 2022 National Championship in the event with a school-record time of 50.74 seconds. The win capped a season that also saw Reemtsma win the CCAC Track Athlete of the Year award after winning the 400m and 400m hurdles, while taking second in the 110m hurdles. Reemtsma again earned Track Athlete of the Championships recognition at the 2023 CCAC Outdoor Meet.

In 2021, Reschke coached Will Reemtsma and Jack Reemtsma to All-American performances in the 400m hurdles, in a season that saw Jack win the CCAC Track Athlete of the Year award.

Jack raced to an NAIA National Runner-Up finish in the 400m hurdles in 2018, his first year working with Coach Reschke.

Reschke coached Molly Jo Smith to multiple All-American performances in the 400m hurdles while also coaching her to several MCC and CCAC Athlete of the Year awards.

She also played an integral role in getting multi-event All-Americans Rachel Luehrs and Cole Connell reach the podium.

In addition to the sprint hurdles, Reschke did the barrier training for Mallory Rettenmeier on her way to an All-American performance in the steeplechase in 2019.

Reschke graduated from Monmouth College in 2009 as a five-time All-American and a degree in elementary education and psychology. She then graduated from St. Ambrose with her Master’s of Social Work in 2012.
