Miller, Wilson named CCAC Field Athletes of the Week

CHICAGO --- "A" standard performances from St. Ambrose University's Jonah Wilson (Riverdale, Iowa) and Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) have earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week recognition for the seven-day period ending Feb. 12, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Wilson set a personal record en route to his "A" mark and eventual CCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week award. His throw of 54 feet, 10 inches won the St. Ambrose Tune-Up on Friday and is the second-best throw in the conference and seventh-best in the NAIA this year.

Miller secured her second Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week weekly award of the season with her efforts in the shot put and weight throw events at SAU's own Tune-Up meet. She won the shot put among 24 competitors with a personal-best 47 feet, 0.75 inch distance. That not only is the top effort in the CCAC this year, but also the second-best mark in the NAIA.

In the weight throw, Miller was fourth among 19 with a toss of 49 feet, 4.5 inches.
