Six Bees earn USTFCCCA academic awards

St. Ambrose was recognized for its performance on the track, in the field and in the classroom as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored teams and individuals who stood out both academically and athletically.

Annah Miller, Will Reemtsma, Nolan Rudd, Alec Seifert, Cody Thole and Ben Wilson were named All-Academic Athletes in the USTFCCCA's NAIA division. 

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have an automatic or provisional qualifying mark for either the indoor or outdoor season. More than 300 men and 300 women were honored. 

The St. Ambrose men's and women's track & field teams, led by head coach Dan Tomlin, were named All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA. The Bee men had a team GPA of 3.13 while the SAU women carried a team GPA of 3.45. To be eligible, teams needed a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
