St. Ambrose earns USTFCCCA academic awards

St. Ambrose was recognized for its performance on the track, in the field and in the classroom as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored teams and individuals who stood out both academically and athletically.

Emma Duncan, Megan Grady, Megan Jansett, Josh Mathis, Annah Miller, Michaela Pieroni, Jack Reemtsma, Will Reemtsma, Kyle Sellers and Jacob White were all named All-Academic Athletes in the USTFCCCA's NAIA division.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have an automatic or provisional qualifying mark for either the indoor or outdoor season.

The Reemtsmas, Mathis, Sellers and White were five of more than 225 men who earned the accolades while Duncan, Grady, Jansett, Miller and Pieroni were among more than 275 women honored.

Both the St. Ambrose men's and women's track & field teams, led by head coach Dan Tomlin, were named All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA.

The Bee men had a team GPA of 3.266 while the SAU women carried a team GPA of 3.616. To be eligible, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.
