Bees recognized by the USTFCCCA for academic work
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently recognized the St. Ambrose track & field program for work in the classroom.
Both the men and women were named All-Academic Teams. The SAU men had a cumulative GPA of 3.256 and the women had a team GPA of 3.601. To be eligible, the cumulative GPA of all student-athletes on the roster must be a 3.0 or higher.
Five Bees were individually named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. They were Justin Griser, Abby Camp, Megan Grady, Lani Hillard and Michaela Pieroni. To be eligible for All-Academic Athlete recognition, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have achieved 'A' or 'B' standard in a championship event at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Nationals.
