St. Ambrose closed out the fall by splitting a pair of meets in Decorah, Iowa, Saturday. The Bees defeated Simpson 8-1 before falling to host Luther 9-0.

The victory over Simpson included three singles matches pushed to a third-set super-tiebreaker. The Bees claimed two of the three, both after dropping the first set. Maggie Sullivan earned a 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 win at No. 1 singles and Kaylee Camp recovered from a slow start to post a 2-6, 7-5, 10-1 win at No. 2.

Hayley Hoffman was unable to give the Bees three super-breaker wins. She lost 6-4, 2-6, 11-9 at No. 3.

The other three SAU wins came in straight sets. Megan McConnaughay and Alison Hanson each dropped just four games. McConnaughay won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 and Hanson picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5. Abbie Erramouspe escaped with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.

St. Ambrose swept the three doubles matches. Sullivan and Camp won 8-3 at No. 1, the No. 2 team of Hoffman and Hason won 8-6, and Erramouspe and Kate Jones won 8-1 at No. 3.

Later in the day, SAU fell to Luther 9-0. The Bees closed the fall with a 5-6 record.
