St. Ambrose gets two singles victories in loss at Truman State
Kaylee Camp and Hayley Hoffman picked up singles victories in SAU's 5-2 loss at Truman State Saturday afternoon.
Camp won her match in straight sets at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4. Hoffman was extended to a third-set super-tiebreaker in her 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 10-8 win at No. 4.
Paige Bily nearly won a third match for the Bees. She dropped a pair of tiebreakers in her 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-5) setback at No. 3.
Maggie Sullivan, Megan McConnaughay and Kate Jones each lost in straight sets.
St. Ambrose also dropped all three doubles matches. Sullivan and Camp fell 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
The Bees, now 3-5 overall, will host Monmouth on Oct. 4.
