Housenga, Sondgeroth honored on Senior Day
With the season winding down, St. Ambrose recognized its two seniors prior to its dual against St. Francis (Ill.) Saturday. Kiersten Housenga and Gillian Sondgeroth were honored for their Fighting Bee careers.
Unfortunately, SAU was unable to get a victory, falling to USF 4-0.
The Bees lost the doubles point. Housenga and Kaylee Camp fell at No. 1, while Sondgeroth and Paige Bily lost at No. 3. The No. 2 team of Maggie Sullivan and Kelsey Jaeger were also beaten. Housenga, Sullivan and Camp dropped singles matches to end the meet.
The Bees will close the regular season with two more competitios. St. Ambrose will host Cardinal Stritch at Assumption High School on Wednesday before visiting Roosevelt next Saturday.
