Bees sweep Spartans in home dual
St. Ambrose wasted little time in defeating a short-handed Dubuque team Friday afternoon at Davenport West. The Bees dropped just four total games in sweeping the Spartans 7-0.
Kiersten Housenga and Maggie Sullivan won their match at No. 1 doubles 6-0. The No. 2 team of Kaylee Camp and Kelsey Jaeger dropped just a single game in their 6-1 victory.
Camp and Sullivan each won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Housenga earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, and Lily Malas completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4.
Jaeger and Paige Bily were credited with wins by default at No. 5 and 6 singles. The No. 3 doubles team of Malas and Alison Hanson also won by default.
The Bees, now 2-2 overall this fall, will host Truman State next Friday.
