St. Ambrose leads NAIA in swim and dive Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's and Women's Swim & Dive Scholar-Athletes. St. Ambrose led the country with a total of 35 on the two teams.

SAU had a national-best 21 named to the men's team - Abe Alwan, Lucas Ascua, Tayden Blair, Walter de Jongh, Juan Gomez, Mikhi Hassim, Brett Jones, Truitt Landolt, Egoitz Munoz Moreno, Thomas Noller, Ben Patterson, Sebastian Pereira, Carter Prull, Jonathan Rollwa, Khalil Ruiz, Ryan Safta, David Schneider, Luke Sproule, Blake Tyler, Nikolai Valencia and Benny Zarhin.

The Bee women placed 14 on the team, second only to St. Thomas - Leyre Antonanzas, Irene Artabe, Molli Baumann, Amanda BeuthGrace BobeldykAllison FellnerEmily HensonRiley LoefflerLibby Moses, Caitlin PieroniMadeline PiperRylie SteinkampAmber Warak and Lauren Williams.

A total of 148 men and 189 women were named to the teams. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
