Brunson named NAIA Third Team All-American

NAIA Women's Soccer All-American Team

Kaitlyn Brunson was named an NAIA Women's Soccer All-American Monday. The junior forward was named to the third team. She is the first Bee named to one of the three NAIA women's soccer all-American teams since Abby Glancy earned second-team honors in 2000.

It was just the latest of a string of awards from Brunson, a recipient of All-American honorable mention last year.

The Marion, Iowa, native was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year after leading the conference with 16 goals and 37 points. She was the first Bee to be named the CCAC Player of the Year and the program's first conference player of the year since Ashley Dexter won the award from the Midwest Collegiate Conference in 2013.

Brunson, who earned first team all-CCAC recognition for the second straight season, netted six game-winning goals. She helped St. Ambrose win both the CCAC regular season and tournament championship, the first time the program won both in the same season since joining the league in 2015, and advance to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time since 2021.
