Fast start propels Bees to win

St. Ambrose got off to a fast start against Calumet Saint Joseph at the Saint Vincent's Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Fighting Bees (5-4, 3-2 CCAC) scored four goals in the first 22 minutes on their way to an 8-0 victory. Taylor DeSplinter scored in the 1st minute, Alyssa Schichner scored in the 8th and 18th minutes, and Morgan Wahlen scored in the 22nd minute. The Bees took a 4-0 lead into halftime.
During the second half, DeSplinter added another goal in the 60th minute, Wahlen added another in the 85th minute, Abigail Goff scored in the 87th minute, and Riley Garcia scored in the 88th minute.
The Bees did not allow a shot from Calumet Saint Joseph, and they had 35 shots as well as five corner kicks.
SAU will continue CCAC play at home on Tuesday, September 28th, when they host No. 23 Trinity Christian College at 6 p.m.
